I was talking to a mom at my son’s preschool today about the struggles between raising our children and working. “I have to admit I am struggling” she said to me while we were walking out. “It can be a struggle,” I said. She works at night until 11:30 p.m.

This is what really fueled me to start Moms Prosperity Blog. My income has been 99 percent from home based businesses and freelance writing, but let’s face it, most moms won’t touch network marketing due to others bad mouthing the industry, poor business partners  and horrible training that resulted in more debt and no income.

I recently went out to work in the childcare field and I honestly don’t know how moms are able to balance running to a workplace with set hours, bring your child to preschool, doctor’s appointments, playdates etc… It’s crazy!

Being a mom full time is a very rewarding but a lot of work in itself. Enough to bring me back to working as a self-employed woman again. But many moms out there aren’t quite sure where to turn or even how to wrap their heads around making money while taking care of your children from home.

Many of you who have been in online marketing, freelance and network marketing and are making money know mindset is number one to changing people’s minds about what they can accomplish on their own on their own time around their schedule. Whether it be network marketing, freelance writing, inventing a new widget or running a successful dayhome.

But let’s take baby steps and think small as  Dr. Wayne Dyer says so you aren’t overwhelmed but taking one step at a time and starting off with say, a cup of coffee as they suggest in The Secret movie. I will keep you up to date on some networking opportunities and direct selling/training possibilities I am now working on with my business partners. But I will also delve into other ways of making money from home that some of you may entertain as well to see just how lucrative it can be.

Yes, there are some shady people out there and some scams. Fortunately, I have developed some close ties over the years with trustworthy people who at least know of excellent networking/direct selling companies. The other ones out there, well, let’s find out together.
