Utilizing the power of Social Networks, bookmarking and SEO. One of the aspects I have really noticed with a lot of these social networks is that people are actually exchanging information instead of just competing against each other with their businesses or opportunities with the “Mine is better than yours” credo. In a lot of the older networking forums there wasn’t as much of this kind of exchange of information. Web 2.0 really changed all that especially since you can have blogging platforms to update and discuss the information you want to share.
That’s not to say you still won’t find ‘Garage Sale’ pages on social networks like MySpace or Facebook, but I am actually finding more substance on people’s networks and blogs than ever. People are focusing less on just SEO and putting some quality information out there we can all use. Kudos to all of you sharing information with others so that we can all achieve our expectations.
Now, I was just at one of my fellow bloggers sites who saying many webmasters are foregoing SEO altogether in favor of social sites and bookmarking to get traffic. What’s your opinion on this? Are you marketing in a whole different way since Web 2.0?
