A WAHM’s Dumb Luck

“Dumb Luck” What`s that all about? How have we come to measure our lives by luck?

I recently heard someone say that success is 98% luck. A little luck on your side is a nice thing to say, but if I depended purely on luck I would have given up on taken action on all of my dreams a long time ago and just bought a lottery ticket. It’s this mentality that people think it’s alright to let time pass you by while others are actually living it and taking action on it. I used to believe in luck when I was young, but like the tooth fairy, I put my on it and didn’t get much in return.

I think of luck as a fun, quirky expression, but I truly think we create our own luck. We need to believe and take agressive action to make our lives happen. People used to say my father was a lucky man, he was always winning the carnival games but luck wasn’t on his side while he was sick for twenty years and died too early in my opinion.

I know many of you out there are depending on the lottery for your retirement plan (there has been actual studies on these stats) but trust me. Taking action on your life – financially, spiritually and physically is a sure bet. Hey, if you’re one of those one in a million (whatever the ratio is) people who happen to win some money on the lottery, just tell people it was your luck that you created.
