It’s those ‘Ah ha’ moments that can make all the difference.
The other day Brad had an ‘ah ha’ moment after talking to one of the mothers of our dayhome. After they left, Brad told me how the mom is working so many hours day and night it really hit him how women make huge sacrifices for their children.
“I have met so many women with high degrees and huge qualifications and they are either working day and night for their children or giving it all up to raise their children like you. You guys really give up a lot to have children,” he said to me as the light bulb went on over his head.
Sometimes you hear things and know what people are saying but it doesn’t always sink in until that particular moment. It wasn’t only a great moment for him, but for me. It validated everything I was doing. Don’t get me wrong, every sacrifice for my child is completely worth it, but sometimes the pat on the back is just the thing that can keep you going.
