WAHMS - What Have We Learned?

teacherspet1-by-steve-woods.jpgI was searching for something the other day, looking through some old boxes when I happened upon some things from past company conferences and mindset training courses we attended over the last few years. There was a time when I would have sat there and kicked myself for spending money on a company that went into Chapter 11 about 6 months later, but today is different. In that moment, I sat back and thought, wow, I learned a lot about marketing, made some great contacts and had some pretty good training. I also learned how to be a WAHM.

The lessons I learned from my mistakes made me a smarter and stronger person today not only about marketing and money but about myself. I often hear people complain about past experiences and how they wish they didn’t waste those moments instead of looking at them as learning experiences.

Events, past and future shape us as people and as a mom this is what I can teach my children. Networking and training events no matter how insignificant they may seem will teach you something even if it’s one good contact you made.

What Have I Learned? —

I learned that bringing a 3-year-old to a networking meeting doesn’t work.

I prefer working online as opposed to home parties.

Working online is not for everyone and neither is face to face networking.

Participating in events has enabled me to meet so many great business partners who have become close friends.

I learned not to get caught up in the dirty details.

Be patient. :)

I learned that I can spend quality time with my children and still make money from home.

My husband and I can work together as long as we balance our strengths and weaknesses.

Knowledge is only power if you actually use it.

Takes work and there is no magic pill.

Did I say be patient? :)
